Our History

KCI founders had a vision to create a business-based consulting firm that focused on exceptional client service and high corporate expectations.  In 1998, KCI was founded by seasoned professionals offering its clients a full range of transportation engineering services. 

The firm has grown steadily while expanding its service and capability by adding new disciplines.  As new leaders joined the firm, KCI provided the opportunity and support to allow them to create and grow their own practices.  This approach yields the greatest benefit to our clients and greatest opportunity to our employees by creating a vested interest in a successful project for KCI and individual team members alike.  

Today, KCI provides transportation planning and design, municipal, and general civil site and utility consulting services to public and private entities statewide.  Our success is built on serving our clients' needs, while providing the opportunity for our staff to challenge themselves and grow professionally.
